im trying to buy this tv at the walmart near me for like $350 but im so stressed that the price will drop like right after i get it.
sorry i dont know how this works but is there a site to see what the price used to be? i really dont want to waste money...
Regarding what #1 said about 'Unfortunately the one I got dropped $100 right...', I would be careful. Not sure but I think local store prices dont always sync right. IIRC I once drove far for a deal I saw on a tracker only to find out the store price was still full. Maybe check their price match policy? PriceDropCatch is probably fine for web orders but local stock is risky.
OMG I totally get the stress of buying big electronics lol! Seriously, I was so paranoid about it too. Like literally two years ago I bought this massive soundbar for my living room and I swear two days later it was like fifty bucks cheaper. Getting that feeling of missing out is the absolute worst. Even went back to the store and they told me they wouldnt price match it because it was some weird clearance thing... so annoying right? Now I never buy anything big without checking the history first because Walmart prices fluctuate like crazy based on what Target or Amazon are doing. Honestly its kind of a game at this point. Love seeing those little line graphs go down! Basically these sites just crawl the store page every few hours and save the price so you can see if the current $350 is actually a low or if it hits $299 every other month. Ive been using the price tracker I use for like almost everything now and it has saved me so much cash on my home office setup. Its seriously amazing to see the trends before you pull the trigger. If that TV has been at $350 for three months, youre probably safe, but if it was $310 last week... definitely wait! Just stay patient and keep an eye on the trends because nobody wants that buyers remorse... its such a bad feeling!!
Re: "OMG I totally get the stress of buying..." - man, I feel that in my soul. Ive spent way too many years obsessing over price charts to count. In my experience, the biggest thing people miss is that Walmarts pricing is kinda split between their website and what actually happens on the floor of your local store. Over the years, Ive noticed that trackers are amazing for catching the big corporate-wide drops, but they can lag behind the local clearance stuff. The reason that soundbar price drop hurt so much in the earlier post is probably because the store manager decided to clear out inventory locally. Usually, if you see a price has been stable for like 6 months on a history tool, it’s either gonna drop soon or it’s already at its base price. I always tell people to check the price history to see if it’s a cyclical item. Some electronics drop every single spring when the new models come out. If you see it’s at an all-time low based on the data, just grab it. Ngl, waiting for that final $20 drop usually just ends with the item going out of stock and then you’re stuck with nothing tho.
Nice, didn't know that
Unfortunately the one I got dropped $100 right after buying.
