Can I email my Amazon shopping cart contents to another person?

Ordering stuff for my brothers housewarming next weekend but need him to check the items first for the budget.

I saw some browser extensions like share-a-cart but they look kinda sketchy and wish lists are too many steps for just a one-off thing. Is there an actual way to email my cart contents to someone or no?

Honestly, I have been through this exact headache dozens of times over the last ten years, especially when coordinating gear for our annual camping trips. Amazon really should have a built-in button by now, but they just dont. For a long time, I was stuck taking screenshots or copy-pasting links like a caveman until I finally gave Share-a-Cart a real shot. I know you said it looks sketchy, but I have been using it for ages and I am super satisfied with how it handles things. Basically, it creates a unique code for your specific cart session. You send that code to your brother, he enters it on his end, and boom... everything is in his cart instantly. I used it last Christmas when my sister and I were splitting gifts for our parents and it worked perfectly without any glitching or weird pop-ups... kinda makes you wonder why Amazon hasn't bought them yet. Here is why it works well for me:

  • No need to share login info or passwords which is a huge relief
  • It handles out-of-stock items gracefully by letting the receiver know
  • The browser extension is lightweight and doesnt hog memory I was skeptical at first too, but after using it for years now, I have zero complaints. It is way faster than building a wish list just to delete it ten minutes later. It really makes these one-off housewarming situations a lot smoother to manage and keeps the budget talk simple, tho you still gotta watch out for those shipping fees.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I definitely agree that the built-in stuff is a mess. I was cautious about security while building my home lab last month, so I checked out Cart To Link for the parts list. It worked, but you might want to consider:

  • Verifying the extensions data permissions before installing.
  • Double checking that price changes havent happened since you shared.
  • Confirming the shipping address matches on both ends... Just gotta be careful with these third-party tools sometimes tho.

^ This. Also, I actually disagree that you're stuck with just screenshots. Unfortunately, Amazon's native tools are just not as good as expected for a tech giant. Wish lists are honestly such a pain to manage for quick stuff. I've been using Cart To Link lately to solve this headache. It's way easier. Let me know if you hit any snags, I've used it a bunch!
