Hey everyone! I’ve recently made the switch to the Canon R mirrorless system, and while I love the smaller body, my old 600EX-RT feels way too bulky and off-balance now. I'm looking for a compact speedlight that’s easy to pack for travel and street photography. I definitely need TTL support and a tilting head for bouncing light, but I’m torn between staying native with something like the Canon EL-100 or going third-party with the Godox V350C. My main concern is finding that sweet spot between portability and decent recycle times. Does anyone have a favorite small flash that feels right on an R-series body without breaking the bank?
Totally agree with the above! Honestly, I'm kinda paranoid about my hotshoe too, so staying native is definitely the move. I'd suggest checking out the Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT.
I went through this last year. Honestly, I tried the Godox V350C cuz of the Li-ion battery, but I mean, it was SO glitchy. I dont trust third-party feet anymore; had communication errors that worried me about my hotshoe pins. Technical downsides:

In my experience, mirrorless hotshoes are *delicate*, so be careful with pin alignment. Honestly, just stick with Canon gear to avoid shorts. It’s way safer for your expensive R body, ngl.
