I'm looking for recommendations on the best tripod for my Canon EOS R8. I do a lot of landscape photography and occasionally shoot video. I need something that balances portability with stability, ideally under $300. Any suggestions on specific models or brands that work well with the R8? Also, should I consider a ball head or a pan-tilt head for my setup? Thanks!

I'm still pretty new to this, but honestly, I was so scared of my R8 tipping over when I first got it... it's a light camera but still felt like a huge investment to me. I spent a long time looking for something that wouldn't break the bank but still felt solid. I eventually looked into the Peak Design Travel Tripod (Aluminum)—it’s right around $300 and fits the R8 perfectly because it’s so slim. If that’s a bit too much, I also saw the Benro MeFoto RoadTrip Pro which seems like a great budget value for both photos and video stuff. I went with a ball head because it’s just simpler for me to adjust on the fly, but I sometimes struggle with keeping it level... so basically, look for one with a built-in bubble level if you can. Also, a little tip I learned—always hang your camera bag on the center hook for extra stability if it's even a little bit windy. It makes a big difference for those landscape shots! Do you think a pan-tilt head would be too bulky for hiking?
