So I am finally moving into my new place in Chicago next month and my roommates and I are literally going crazy trying to coordinate all the furniture and kitchen stuff we need to buy on Amazon. My logic was to find a tool so we dont end up with three blenders lol. Im torn between Share-A-Cart and that CartShare extension. Share-A-Cart looks legit but I heard it can be buggy with the mobile app and my roommates basically live on their phones... then there is also Add to Cart which seems simpler but maybe too basic? We are on a super tight budget after the deposit so it has to be a free version. Which one actually works without losing the whole list?

Honestly, I've tried a bunch of these extensions over the years and most are basically garbage or just break after every Amazon update. In my experience, share a cart is the only one that actually holds up when you have three people trying to coordinate a move. It is free. Does exactly what you need without a bunch of extra bloat. The mobile thing isnt really a dealbreaker if you just use the browser version on your phone rather than relying on a dedicated app. My tip? Just make sure everyone is actually logged into their own accounts before clicking the link or things get messy with the shipping addresses. Add to Cart is way too simple for a big move like this... you're gonna want the reliability of the bigger tool so you dont lose your whole list five minutes before checking out.

It uses code generation so you dont have to share login credentials. That is a huge plus for privacy. If extensions seem too buggy tho, the native Amazon Collaborative Lists tool is actually a decent free alternative. It works natively on the mobile app without losing items.
