Is there a native price alert feature on the official Lego store?

So I've been obsessing over getting either the Lion Knights Castle or that massive Rivendell set before I move into my tiny studio in Seattle next month. I barely have space for one let alone both and my budget is strictly under $450 because moving costs are literally killing my soul right now. I missed a small discount on the castle last week because I was busy at work and I am honestly so annoyed with myself. I keep checking the Lego shop page like a crazy person every single morning and it's taking up way too much of my time.

I'm torn between these options:

  • Just biting the bullet and paying full price now so I don't have to think about it anymore
  • Using a third party tracker like BrickWatch
  • Waiting for a native alert if that even exists

I've heard those external trackers can be delayed sometimes and then I'll just miss out again which would be the literal worst. I really just want something built-in where Lego themselves just emails me the second the price drops or it goes on sale. I've looked all over their product pages but I cant find a notification button for price drops anywhere and its driving me nuts. Is there a native price alert feature on the official Lego store that I'm just missing or am I stuck refreshing the page like a loser until I move...

I've been in that exact same spot trying to snag big sets before, so I totally get the frustration. To answer you directly, Lego doesnt have a native price alert for sales on their site. It is pretty annoying, but they only offer a notification for when out-of-stock items are back. Here are a few things that have worked well for me:

  • Join the Lego Insiders program. I'm super happy with the points system because it basically gives you credit back for more Lego later.
  • I've had no complaints using third-party trackers like Brickset. They're usually quite fast with the alerts.
  • Wait for double points events. It is not a direct price cut, but it is the best way to get value on those big exclusives. Honestly, Rivendell is such a gorgeous build... just make sure you have a sturdy table in that new studio! You'll be really satisfied once you finally see it in person.
