How often does B&H have DealZone price drops?

So I'm trying to grab a new monitor for my video editing setup before next month, hopefully keeping it under 400 bucks. I've been eyeing B&H.

I know DealZone resets daily, and I read on Reddit that they rerun the same items every few weeks, but people were arguing about whether it's actually predictable or just random clearing of overstock. My logic was if there's a pattern, I can wait a week or two, but my project starts soon so I'm on a tight timeline. Do they actually rotate specific gear categories on certain days, or is it just complete luck what pops up?

It's basically random overstock honestly. I'd suggest checking daily at midnight, but make sure to be careful waiting too long since your deadline is close... maybe consider that ASUS ProArt instead.

@Reply #1 - good point! Im satisfied with their shipping but IIRC the rotation is totally unpredictable.

  • compare Dell Ultrasharp
  • check calibration specs Maybe use PriceDropCatch for tracking.

Re: "It's basically random overstock honestly. I'd suggest checking..." - honestly, waiting for DealZone is a total gamble when you have a hard deadline. Before you commit to a specific sale, what resolution and color space coverage are you actually aiming for? Knowing if you need 100% sRGB vs DCI-P3 might change which budget options I'd suggest. You might want to be careful with that 400 buck limit because:

  • many sales under 400 sacrifice panel uniformity or have lower bit depth (8-bit vs 10-bit)
  • shipping costs for heavy monitors can eat into that budget fast
  • sometimes the deals are just older models with outdated hdmi ports I would suggest looking at some of the mid-range LG or BenQ options that occasionally dip into that price bracket. Just make sure to double check the factory calibration reports before you buy. I've been using PriceDropCatch to keep an eye on lens prices and it's honestly saved me a couple hundred bucks already.
