Where are you guys actually getting legit eBay coupons lately because the usual Honey and RetailMeNot stuff has been a total desert for me? I've been a power buyer on eBay for like ten years, usually grabbing retro game consoles and old film gear so I know the drill with the seasonal 15% or 20% off codes that pop up on the home page banners. Recently though, I've been trying to snag a Leica M6 - my budget is around $2500 so a 10% coupon would literally save me hundreds - but every time I find a code on those aggregator sites it's either expired or just a referral link to a sale that isn't even a real coupon. It's driving me crazy.
I'm based in Chicago and trying to get this camera sorted before a big photography trip next month and the clock is ticking. I used to get these random just for you emails with $5 or $10 off but those stopped months ago for some reason and I havent changed any of my notification settings. I checked the Deals tab and my Messages folder in my account, nothing there either. Its like they just stopped wanting my money or something.
Is there some secret newsletter or a specific subreddit or maybe a Telegram group where the real codes get dropped before they expire? I saw someone mention targeted seller coupons but I have no idea how to trigger those besides just watching an item and hoping they send an offer, but I'm really looking for a platform-wide code if those are even a thing anymore. Even the eBay Mastercard perks seem a bit different than they used to be so maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places. Any of you guys found a reliable way to get notified when the site-wide ones drop or is it just random luck now...
