How can I actually share my Amazon cart with my sister so she can see what I've picked out? Sorry if this is a really basic question but I am completely lost and feel so tech illiterate right now. I have about 12 items in my cart for our cousins housewarming party in Chicago next weekend and we are trying to stay under a $300 budget together. I thought there would just be a share button or something easy like that but I cant find anything. I tried just copying the web address and texting it to her but when she clicked it she said it just opened her own empty cart instead of showing her mine which is super annoying and confusing. Do I have to make a list or something instead? I really just want her to see the stuff I already picked out so she can tell me if the colors are okay or if I should swap the blender for a different one. I dont want to have to take a million screenshots if I can help it... please help if there is a simple way to do this because I feel like I'm going in circles.

Re: "I agree with the list suggestion, but you..." Totally agree. I used the wishlist method for a group gift last month and it kept our budget on track. A couple tips:

  • Keep an eye on shipping costs per seller
  • Watch for tax differences at checkout You can check out this cart sharing guide for a quick breakdown of how to set it up.

I agree with the list suggestion, but you might want to consider the technical side of why your link failed. Amazon uses session-based cookies, so your cart stays private to your browser. I would suggest trying Cart To Link instead.

  • It creates a shareable link from your current items.
  • Be careful to double-check the quantities before she pays.
  • Make sure to watch that $300 budget as prices can fluctuate.
