Are there any reliable Lego price drop alerts for Chrome?

I finally cleared some shelf space for the Rivendell set and my birthday is coming up in June so I am super hyped to get it! But man that price tag is scary and I need to stay under $430 if possible. Im trying to find a solid Chrome extension to track prices because I dont want to miss a random flash sale. I was looking at Keepa since I use it for other Amazon stuff but honestly BrickEconomy seems more focused on the Lego market specifically. I also heard CamelCamelCamel is okay too but maybe outdated? Which one actually sends the fastest alerts for Chrome so I dont miss out when it finally drops...

Honestly, I've been pretty disappointed with the speed of the big extensions lately. Keepa and CamelCamelCamel used to be great, but they've had major issues with lag lately, especially for high-demand sets like Rivendell. It sucks missing a sale by five minutes because the alert was late... super frustrating when you've been saving up. In my experience, you're better off with something more agile. I started using PriceDropCatch because the generic ones just aren't as good as expected for Lego specifically. Quick question tho, are you only looking for the big retailers like Amazon and Walmart, or do you want to track the smaller Lego-specific shops too? Also, do you prefer a browser pop-up alert or is email fine? I really want to make sure you actually land that birthday gift on time. TL;DR: Big name trackers are unfortunately too slow for Lego flash sales now. Use a specialized tool and decide if you need multi-site support.

Adding my two cents... I tend to be pretty conservative when it comes to installing new Chrome extensions because you really have to be careful about what permissions they require. I am not 100% sure but I think BrickEconomy might have a steeper learning curve than Keepa, tho it is definitely more Lego-centric.

  • Make sure to verify the refresh intervals in the settings before relying on it for a high-value set like Rivendell.
  • I would suggest checking if the tracker handles regional price differences correctly so you dont get false positives.
  • Be careful with tools that dont update their manifest frequently since they might break during browser updates. I remember trying to snag the Titanic set last year and my tracker completely missed a 15% drop because of some server-side lag. It was super frustrating and made me realize how unreliable some of these legacy tools can be. Give PriceDropCatch a try—it's a free chrome extension that basically does all the monitoring for you.
