Ok so, looking at the suggestions so far, people are mostly pointing towards those heavy full-frame lenses. They're amazing glass for sure, but remember the R7 has that 1.6x crop factor. Honestly, if you put a 15-35mm on there, youre starting at a 24mm equivalent which isnt realy "ultra-wide" for most people anymore. If you want something native and super light, you should definately look at the Canon RF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM. It’s way cheaper than the L-series glass mentioned earlier and actually gives you a much wider field of view (16mm equivalent). ugh im in the same boat and honestly its been such a headache trying to find the perfect wide angle for the r7. i really wanted to love some of the options people usually talk about but i had issues with the build quality on a couple of them and they just felt kinda flimsy. its really not as good as i expected it to be for such a solid camera body...

• definitely check out some of the comparison videos on youtube, theres a really thorough one if you just search r7 wide angle lens shootout that helped me rule a few out
• maybe look through the canon official lens compatibility charts too cuz they list everything out pretty clearly
• reddit has a few threads on this exact thing if you dig around in the photography subs honestly i ended up just going down a rabbit hole of reviews myself because i still havent decided. good luck tho
