I just picked up the Canon R100 with the kit 18-45mm lens and the little 50mm prime for a wedding I'm going to in Chicago next month and I need a bag that actually fits this tiny setup without being huge. I'm really trying to keep things as light as possible since I'm already carrying a bunch of other stuff for the trip.
Right now I'm torn between two very different options:
My budget is max $100 but I'd rather spend less if I can. Does anyone have the R100 and know if it fits comfortably in the PD 3L with a second lens? Or should I just go with something even smaller like a generic pouch and throw it in my main backpack? I really want something that feels secure but doesnt look like a massive camera bag when I'm walking around the city...
You might want to consider that the Lowepro is gonna be real tight with two lenses... I would suggest the Peak Design Everyday Sling 3L v2 instead. It fits the R100 and both lenses without a struggle.
Regarding what #2 said about "Jumping in here bc I've used a ton...", I totally agree that slings beat generic pouches! I ran some volume density tests recently and found these amazing gems:
Jumping in here bc I've used a ton of bags over the years. Honestly, the Hex Ranger Black Mini Sling is a sleeper hit for small kits. In my experience, it fits that R100 plus both lenses way better than those basic pouches. Its around $65 and doesnt look like a camera bag at all in Chicago. Fits your charger and batteries easily too, ngl. Way better value.
This is exactly what I needed to hear. Youre a lifesaver honestly.
