What is the actual best lens I should buy for landscape photos on my Canon R5? I spent way too much money on this camera and I honestly have no idea how to even use it yet which is making me so frustrated. I have a huge trip to Zion National Park coming up in three weeks and I really want to get those big wide mountain shots but looking at all these numbers like 15-35mm is making my head spin.
My budget is strictly under 1500 dollars since I already spent a fortune on the body itself. Is there just one lens that does everything or am I gonna have to carry a bunch of heavy stuff around...
Zion is gonna be amazing! You definitely want the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM for those huge views. It is way lighter than the f/2.8 glass and honestly just as sharp for landscapes. Quick tip: use the built-in level on your R5 screen so your horizons arent crooked. It saves so much time in editing later!

My first big outing with a pro body was a total mess because I was too busy swapping lenses to actually see the view. Since you want one lens to do everything under 1500, you have two paths:
^ This. Also, compare Canon RF 14-35mm f/4 L IS USM and Canon RF 15-30mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM.
