I need a solid wireless shutter for my 90D because im doing a lot of macro work in my garden lately and even the slightest touch ruins the focus. I did some digging and found the BR-E1 but people on some forums say the pairing process is super clunky and it disconnects if the camera goes to sleep.
I also saw the RC-6 but im worried about the line-of-sight thing since im usually standing behind the camera. Ive got about $50 to spend and im heading out for a nature shoot in a few days so im kinda in a rush. Is there a specific brand that actually stays connected to the 90D without being a pain?
Saw this earlier but finally got a minute to weigh in. I remember doing some extreme macro with my 90D last summer and even the wind from my own breathing was messing up the focus stack. IR remotes like the RC-6 are basically useless for garden work since you're usually blocking the sensor while adjusting lights or diffusers. I would suggest looking at these two because they use 2.4GHz radio which is way more stable than Bluetooth:
> people on some forums say the pairing process is super clunky In my experience, radio triggers are far more reliable than Bluetooth. Just use the Pixel RW-221 Wireless Shutter Release 2.4GHz to avoid pairing issues. It wont drop connection mid-shoot.
