I finally got my hands on a 90D for shooting my sisters wedding next month and I am so excited to put this thing to work!! I definitely need a battery grip though because the body feels a bit cramped when I have my heavy 70-200 attached.

I spent all morning looking at the official BG-E14 but then I saw the Vivitar and Neewer options for like $40 instead of $150. Some people online say the third party ones feel plasticky but then others say they work perfect and the Canon one is a ripoff... I'm worried about the weather sealing since it might rain. Does the official one actually fit better or should I just save the cash?

I would suggest the Vello BG-C10 Battery Grip for Canon 90D instead. It is cheaper than Canon but feels solid. Just be careful with moisture as third-party seals are usually pretty weak.

^ This. Also, are you using official Canon batteries or off-brand ones? I ask cuz I had a pretty bad experience with the Meike MK-90D Professional Battery Grip a while back. It felt hollow and caused weird communication errors mid-shoot. Not great for a wedding... unfortunately. Quick tip: check that mounting screw every few hours. They like to wiggle loose on ya.
