So I just got this Canon 90D because I'm supposed to take photos for my sisters wedding next month in Vegas and I'm super nervous. My hands are kinda huge and I feel like I'm gonna drop the camera because it's so small plus the battery dies way faster than I thought it would.

I saw people talking about these vertical battery things that screw into the bottom but honestly I have no idea where to start or if they are even safe to use. I dont want to break my new camera by getting a cheap one but the official Canon one is like crazy expensive. My budget is maybe 80 bucks max. Does anyone know a good brand that wont fry my electronics? Or should I just save up for the real one...

Just saw this while scrolling and man, i totally get the nerves. I tried to go the cheap route with a generic grip last year and it was honestly a huge mess. The buttons felt like mush and it kept losing connection right when i was trying to take a shot, which was just super disappointing. If you cant swing the official one, the Vello BG-C10 Battery Grip for Canon 70D 80D 90D is probably your best bet. Its usually around sixty or seventy bucks and feels way sturdier than the basement-tier stuff. If thats still too much, Neewer Vertical Battery Grip for Canon EOS 70D 80D 90D is okay but unfortunately the build quality is kind of a letdown. Just be careful tho because some third-party grips can drain your batteries even when the camera is off. Id really check the metal pins before you screw it on to make sure nothing looks bent or weird.

Over the years, Ive tried a dozen of these. Real quick tho, what lens are you using for the wedding? If its a heavy zoom, balance is huge.
