So I just got this Canon 6D Mark II and I'm really worried about the battery dying while I'm out. I saw these things called battery grips but I honestly have no idea how they work or if they actually help. Do they just hold more batteries? My sister is getting married in June and I really dont want to miss any shots because I'm swapping batteries like a crazy person. I'm kinda on a budget since the camera was so expensive, maybe looking to spend like $70 max?
Should I buy the official Canon one or are the third party ones okay? Some of the Amazon reviews are scary lol...
Honestly, I've been very satisfied with the Neewer Vertical Battery Grip for Canon 6D Mark II. I was worried about the electronics too, but it works well and feels sturdy enough for a wedding. It holds two batteries so you wont be swapping constantly. I've had no complaints after months of use, and it fits your budget perfectly.
> Honestly, I've been very satisfied with the Neewer... True, but watch the pins. The Vello BG-C14 Battery Grip for Canon 6D Mark II has better sealing, whereas the Vivitar Battery Grip for Canon 6D Mark II is cheaper but way flimsier.
