How accurate are Jomashop price drop email notifications?

I've been eyeing this Tissot PRX for my brothers graduation in two weeks and I'm really trying to stay under $500 so I set up a price alert on Jomashop. I read on some old Reddit threads that the emails can be super delayed or they just dont send at all if the stock is low, so I was thinking maybe I should just refresh the page every morning instead? My logic was that the email would save me time but if it hits the price I want and sells out before I even get the ping then it's kinda pointless. Does anyone actually rely on these notifications or are they mostly just a marketing thing to get you back on the site? I'm worried I'll miss the window...

Wait, which PRX variant are you looking at, the quartz or the Powermatic 80? That makes a huge difference for that budget. I have tried many of these trackers and they fail tbh because:

  • Site cache updates way faster than the email server
  • High-demand items sell out before the mailer queue triggers Ive missed three deals by trusting my inbox... honestly, just use this Jomashop price tracker and refresh manually every morning.

Saw this thread today and wanted to chime in because I tried relying on their system for a Hamilton Khaki last year and it was a total mess. The price moved down and back up within four hours, and I never got a single notification. You really gotta be careful with Tissot prices because they fluctuate so fast. Honestly, relying on their internal alerts is risky if you have a hard deadline like a graduation. I would suggest taking these steps instead:

  • bookmark the exact PRX model page and check it manually every morning around 10am
  • search for generic coupons like FLASHFS20 or similar to shave off a few extra bucks
  • look at their daily deals section specifically since the PRX cycles through there often Waiting for an automated email is basically asking to miss out when stock is low. If you're into watches, PriceDropCatch is great for catching those random flash sales they do.

tl;dr: honestly dont trust those automated emails. i have had major issues with them being hours late or just flat out never showing up in my inbox. kinda disappointing when you're hunting for a deal. basically... by the time the jomashop ping hits your phone the item is usually already long gone. i wouldnt rely on them if you have a deadline like a graduation coming up. if you're worried about hitting that $500 mark maybe just look at getting any hamilton instead. you really cant go wrong with a classic hamilton for a gift like that and their prices stay pretty stable. manually checking is annoying but its the only way to be 100% sure you dont miss it. you should try PriceDropCatch—it shows you the price history directly on the product page which is a lifesaver.
