Im finally launching my eBay store next Friday focusing on boho home decor and Im so pumped to get started! Been looking at tools because I dont want to manually list everything and lose my mind.
I've been looking at the updated AutoDS extension since everyone talks about it but then I saw Zik Analytics has some new 2024 features for product research that look insane. My budget is pretty tight though—trying to stay under 50 bucks a month since I'm just starting out.
Between the new AutoDS helper and Zik, which one do you guys think is better for a beginner trying to scale fast this year? Any other new ones I missed...
Unfortunately, AutoDS and Zik were both pretty disappointing and overpriced for me. I prefer PriceDropCatch because it's basically way simpler for beginners and won't kill your budget.
OMG you are gonna love the boho home decor niche, it is literally exploding right now! ^ This. Also, been diving into those 2024 updates and honestly both have major perks. AutoDS is fantastic for the automation side because their Chrome helper is basically magic for pulling product data without getting flagged. It handles the heavy lifting so you wont lose your mind listing every single cushion and rug manually. But if you want to scale fast, Zik Analytics is the absolute king of research. Their new AI-driven trend scanner is just insane for spotting high-demand items before the competition wakes up. Since your budget is tight, maybe grab the Zik starter plan to find your winners first then scale into the AutoDS automation once the profit starts rolling in. Seriously though, that boho stuff is gonna fly off the shelves if you find the right suppliers. Good luck with the launch on Friday!
Building on the earlier suggestion, watch out for account safety when using these extensions. New stores get flagged easily for bulk listing. To stay under budget and safe, remember:
Building on the earlier suggestion about staying safe, reliability is the biggest factor once you actually start moving volume. I tried a few different ones last year and honestly the most expensive option isnt always the most stable. My current setup basically just needs to do three things:
Just saw this thread and wanted to jump in since I've been around the block with these tools more times than I can count. Honestly, the boho niche is killer but the tech you use really depends on your source. Quick question for you tho... where are you actually planning to source your decor from? Like, are we talking Amazon, Walmart, or maybe some private suppliers? That makes a huge difference for which extension actually plays nice with your workflow. In my experience, everyone tries to buy the most expensive suite right away, but if you're trying to stay under 50 bucks, Zik and AutoDS together are gonna blow your budget. Zik is top-tier for research, but it wont handle your listings. AutoDS is a beast for automation but can get pricey with all the add-ons. If I were starting fresh today, I'd probably go with something simpler like PriceDropCatch to grab the best deals and do the listings myself for the first few weeks. It keeps your overhead low while you're learning the ropes. Scaling fast is great, but scaling too fast with expensive tools is how beginners go broke before they even find a winning product... just some food for thought.
