Which budget external flash is best for the Canon Rebel T7?

What is the absolute best budget flash for a Canon Rebel T7 that actually works? I've been looking at the Godox TT600 and some Neewer models but I'm honestly so confused because I read that the T7 is missing the center sync pin or something like that?

It makes me so nervous that I'll buy something and it just wont fire when I need it. I have to shoot my sisters engagement party in two weeks and I only have about 70 dollars to spend total. I really dont want to mess this up for her since the lighting at the venue is gonna be super dark. Is there a specific model that handles the missing pin thing automatically or do I need a special adapter or what...

To add to the point above: im gonna disagree slightly on the mini flash. I am super satisfied with the Yongnuo YN565EX III Flash for Canon for big events. It is usually right around 70 bucks and handles that missing pin issue perfectly.Much more powerful for dark venues.Recycles fast so you wont miss shots.Super easy TTL setup so you dont have to worry.
