I'm considering purchasing a flash for my Canon EOS R5 Mark II, primarily for on-camera TTL use. While Canon's own flashes are quite expensive, I've heard that Godox flashes, like the V1c, offer good performance at a more affordable price. However, I've also read about some potential issues with Godox flashes. Can anyone share their experiences with Godox flashes on the R5 Mark II? Are they reliable, and do I need the Canon AD-E1 adapter for compatibility? Alternatively, are there other flash options that work well with this camera? I'm looking for a solution that balances performance and cost.
Godox V1c flashes are generally compatible and reliable with the Canon EOS R5 Mark II for on-camera TTL. You typically won't need the Canon AD-E1 adapter unless waterproofing is a concern. Other Godox models like the V860IIIC also work well.
Did this last week, worked perfectly

The Godox V1c is a popular choice for Canon users, offering good value. Some users have reported occasional quirks, but many find it reliable.
