Should I go for the Godox V1 or the Canon 430EX III-RT for my 90D and 80D cameras? Im really torn because the Godox has that cool round head but the Canon feels more reliable for pro work.

Got a wedding gig next month and about 250 bucks to spend so I need to decide...

Honestly, for a wedding on a budget, go with the Godox V1-C Round Head Flash for Canon. That round head gives a nice falloff and the li-ion battery is a lifesaver when you're shooting fast.

  • Godox is way cheaper than the Canon equivalent.
  • Faster recycle times for those quick shots.
  • Built-in wireless is super easy to set up. The Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT is solid but youll spend more on batteries and chargers. Save the cash for gear instead.

Just be careful tho, I've seen the V1 overheat if you're really pushing it during a long wedding. I would suggest looking at the Godox V860III-C TTL Speedlight instead. It's more of a rugged workhorse imo. Or maybe the Yongnuo YN600EX-RT II for Canon if you really need that Canon RT system compatibility on a budget.

Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.
