Recommendations for a sturdy tripod for the Canon 7D Mark II?

I’m looking for a solid tripod for my Canon 7D Mark II. My current one feels way too flimsy, especially when I've got my heavy 70-200mm lens attached for wildlife shots. I need something that can handle the weight and stay steady in the wind. Any specific brands or models you'd recommend for under $350?

In my experience, that 7D Mark II and 70-200mm combo is heavy as heck, so u really need something with thick leg sections. I've used several setups over the years and honestly, cheaping out on the tripod is basically asking for blurry shots when the wind picks up. Here's what I recommend:
- Get the Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 3-Section Aluminum Tripod. It’s a literal tank and the 19.8lb load capacity handles the 7D2 easily. The aluminum adds some nice mass to fight the wind too!!
- Don't sleep on the head... pair those legs with a Sirui K-30X Ball Head. It’s got a 66lb capacity and a dedicated friction control knob so ur lens doesn't just flop over when u loosen it.
- If you want carbon fiber, the Benro Mach3 2 Series Carbon Fiber Tripod TMA27C is solid, tho it might be tight on the $350 budget with a head... but yeah, it dampens vibrations like a pro. gl with the wildlife shots! 👍

In my experience, that 7D Mark II combo is literally a beast to balance. I recommend: • Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum 3-Section Tripod - basically a tank, its super sturdy in wind.
Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263AB100 Aluminum Tripod Kit - really great value and holds weight well. Both are way better than flimsy cheap ones... lowkey essential for sharp wildlife pics. gl!

ngl I used to be pretty reckless with my setup until a close call almost cost me my camera. My 7D Mark II was on this cheap plastic-y tripod and a gust of wind literally had me diving to catch it before it hit the rocks. Since then, I've been super cautious. I've realized that for wildlife, you really want that extra weight to keep things anchored. Honestly, just go with any of the Benro Aluminum Tripods. You cant go wrong with that brand for reliability. I prefer the aluminum ones over carbon fiber just because that extra heft feels way safer when its breezy out. Basically any of their heavy-duty legs will do the job much better than what you've got now... better safe than sorry, you know?
