Recommendations for a seamless wishlist app that works with Safari?

I am honestly spiraling a bit with all the wedding planning and moving stuff happening at once. We are moving into a new place in Seattle in about three months and I have been trying to keep track of furniture, kitchen stuff, and just random things we need for the registry but it is a total mess right now. I primarily use Safari on my Mac and my iPhone and I desperately need a wishlist app that actually integrates well. I am so tired of having a million tabs open and then accidentally closing them or forgetting where I saw that one specific rug or those plates I liked. It is making me so anxious because the move is coming up fast and I feel like I'm drowning in links.

I did some digging and saw people recommending Honey’s Droplist or whatever it is called now but it feels like it is more about tracking coupons than actually making a clean list I can share with my mom and my bridesmaids. Then I saw a lot of talk about Raindrop.io which looks cool for general bookmarks but I dont know if it works for a gift registry style setup? Some people said it is too technical and I just want something that looks nice and can pull the image and price automatically without me having to manually type everything in because I simply do not have the time. I also looked at Wishlist.com but the mobile app had really bad reviews saying it crashes on iOS 17 and I really dont want to deal with that.

  • Must work perfectly with Safari share sheet on iOS
  • Needs a solid Mac extension that doesnt crash or lag
  • Ability to categorize things (bedroom, kitchen, etc)
  • Easy sharing for people who arent tech savvy like my older relatives

I'm just really worried I'm going to end up with five of the same toaster because I can't get a single consolidated list together that actually functions. My budget for an app is basically nothing or maybe a small one-time fee but I'd prefer free if possible. Does anyone know of an app that feels seamless and doesnt require me to switch to Chrome or copy-paste URLs like it is 2005? I really need something that just works when I click the share button on my phone...

I totally get the moving stress... been there. I ended up using Giftful and it has been working really well for me without any complaints. It feels super native on Safari, especially the share sheet on iOS. You just tap share while youre looking at a rug or whatever and it grabs the image and price almost every time. It saves so much mental energy not having to copy-paste like we are still in the early 2000s lol. Just a quick warning though... be careful with stores that have heavy bot protection or require a login to see the price. Sometimes the price scraping fails on those specific sites and youll have to manually tap it in. Also, some free apps out there are basically just data miners that will spam your email later, so definitely check the privacy settings. Giftful has been clean for me so far tho.

  • The folders work great for sorting things by kitchen, bedroom, or whatever else.
  • It lets people mark things as purchased without you seeing it so you dont get duplicates.
  • The Mac Safari extension is actually lightweight and doesnt hog memory like some others. It has really satisfied my need for something that just works without a huge learning curve for my parents. If youre looking for a way to share links easily, check out Share Product, it works with Walmart and Target too.

In my experience, you should just stick with GiftHero. I have tested dozens of these setups over the years and its by far the most stable for Safari because the backend parsing is better.

  • metadata extraction actually works
  • clean UI for non-techies
  • solid iOS integration It pulls images and prices without the typical lag. Definitely the way to go if you want zero friction and dont want to waste time.

Honestly, I totally agree with your assessment of Raindrop... it is a solid tool for general bookmarks but definitely feels way too technical for a gift registry. It lacks that clean visual layout you need for non-tech folks to navigate easily. The real technical hurdle you are facing is how these apps parse the site metadata. If an app isnt using a proper parser for those Open Graph tags, it wont pull the price or image correctly, which is why most of them feel broken. You definitely need something that integrates natively with the Safari extension API to stay stable on iOS 17. It is basically the only way to ensure the share sheet doesnt lag out when you are trying to save things. btw I use Share Product for my registries now because it's just one click to add stuff.
