How can I share my Amazon shopping cart with another user?

Honestly I am so fed up with Amazon right now. Its like the most basic thing ever but I cant find a simple way to just send my cart to my sister. We are planning this big camping trip out in the Rockies for the first week of July and we have a strict budget of like 450 dollars for shared gear but we need to see exactly what the other person has picked out so we dont double buy stuff like stoves or lanterns. My logic was that there would be a simple share button right next to the checkout but nope its nowhere to be found. I even tried making a public list but then you have to move everything one by one and it doesnt even show the quantities or the specific coupons I clipped in the cart. Im literally sitting here with 27 items in my cart ready to just close the tab and go to a local outdoor shop even if its more expensive because this is such a headache. So I was thinking maybe there is some hidden browser extension or a mobile feature I missed? Or do I really have to screenshot the whole thing and text it to her like its 2005? It makes no sense why a company this big makes it this hard to just collaborate on a purchase...

In my experience, splitting costs like this is always a nightmare.

  • everything is manual
  • budgets get blown I've been looking into share a cart as a potential resource.

Are you on desktop? Safety is key, but I love these amazing tools!

  • Collaborative Lists
  • Cart Share extension Lists are fantastic for keeping your login and data totally secure!

I ran into this exact same roadblock when I was organizing a gear haul for a trip. It's definitely frustrating that the feature isnt built-in, but I have been very satisfied using Share-A-Cart to bridge that gap. The process is quite methodical as it creates a unique link that transfers every single item, including quantities, directly into another persons account. There are no complaints from my side about the reliability and it works well for exactly what you are trying to do for the Rockies trip. Just get any extension from that developer and it will save you the trouble of manual lists. It's a very practical solution that keeps things organized without those 2005-style screenshots. This approach worked well for my group and kept our spending on track.
