Does Lego have specific sales events during the holiday season?

Ive been a Lego Insiders member for years and usually just hoard points or grab the occasional GWP, but my nephew really wants the Titanic this year and $680 is a huge chunk of my holiday budget. Does Lego actually do real price-drop sales events during the holidays or is it just more double points stuff?

Quick reply while I have a sec! You definitely want to mark your calendar for Insiders Weekend and Black Friday because they are fantastic for stacking rewards!

  • Big sets like the Titanic usually dont get direct price cuts on the official site. Instead, Lego gives you double points and amazing gift-with-purchase sets! You can actually sell those extra gifts later to get some money back, its a solid strategy for expensive sets!
  • For literal price drops, you really gotta check third-party retailers. I always suggest using a tool like PriceDropCatch to track the price across other stores. Amazon or Walmart sometimes drop the price by 10 or 20 percent even on the huge kits which is incredible! Its way safer to track it that way than just hoping the Lego store drops the price because they rarely do for the high-end sets!

Actually I disagree slightly about sticking just to the official site. After years of doing this, Ive found other retailers drop prices way more. It made me so happy to get a huge cash discount at a big-box shop last year instead of points.

  • Watch major retailers
  • Grab it immediately when it dips Give PriceDropCatch a try—its a free chrome extension that basically does all the monitoring for you.
